Why we should “Pass on Plastics” The Plastics Task Force presents an in-depth look at the plastics pollution problem facing Collier County, the U.S. and the world. Learn how the plastic industry evolved, the challenges of recycling, the impacts of microplastics, and much more. Solutions to the plastic pollution crisis are challenging but not impossible. Learn about the “Pass on Plastics” campaign and how you can make a difference.

Loralee LeBoeuf, Co-Chair of the Environmental Affairs Committee Plastics Task Force. She has been an active advocate for Smart Growth principles in the Rural Lands Stewardship Area of Collier County. She served on the Board of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida from 2015 to 2023.
Charlotte Nycklemoe began her career in the LWVCC as the first Book Club leader. Her progression through the local league begin with chairing the Juvenile Justice committee, onto the board of directors, to President and finally to a board position on the LWVFL state board of Directors. As Co-chair of the Plastics Task Force, Charlotte is proud to be an advocate of the reduction of plastics in Collier County.
