The Plastics Task Force of the LWVCC presents an in-depth look at the plastics pollution problem facing Collier County, the U.S. and the world. Learn how the plastic industry evolved, the challenges of recycling, the impacts of microplastics, and much more. Solutions to the plastic pollution crisis are challenging but not impossible. Learn about the LWVCC’s “Pass on Plastics” campaign and how you can make a difference.
As member of the LWVCC Environmental Affairs Committee, Loralee helped found the Plastics Task Force and is an active advocate for Smart Growth principles in the Rural Lands Stewardship Area of Collier County. She served on the Board of the Conservancy of Southwest Florida from 2015 to 2023.
Joanne Grady Huskey is on the Board of Directors of the League of Women Voters of Collier County and is a member of the League’s Plastics Task Force.
