Azerbaijan - An Eternal Flame Reignited!
Presentation by Donna Suddeth

Azerbaijan is a fascinating country with much greater importance than its size would convey. So few can locate it on a map that the Azerbaijanis like to say that they live in "a dangerous neighborhood, sandwiched between Russia and Iran." Yet, Azerbaijan has played a dominant role in the energy industry since the world has come to depend on oil.

Donna traveled to Azerbaijan as a delegate of the Naples Council on World Affairs. The trip was sponsored by the Center for Strategic Studies under the Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Besides learning about the country, culture and people, the trip provided insights on how politics in the United States affects other nations.
